GRAPHIC CARD EMULATOR (3D Analyzer) TUTORIAL

In today's world of 3d games, a graphic card is a must for every gamer, but all can't afford the costly graphic cards. Though some games are impossible to play without a graphic card, many can be played with a good processor, in-built graphics memory and large amount of RAM, but the problem is that the games just won't allow the user to install it without a graphic card or just wont start without a graphic card. Due to this even after possessing all the resources to play the game the gamer is left out of all the fun. Now this problem can be easily solved using Graphic card emulators.
Graphic card emulators are softwares which emulate or imitate all the features of a real graphic card. They trick the game into believing that the computer has a graphic card installed in it.
3d analyzer is one such software, here is a detailed tutorial on using 3d analyzer.

3D ANALYZER

Step 1) Download and install "3d analyzer" DOWNLOAD

Step 2) Start it and click "select" tab.

Step 3) A new window will open select the .exe file of the game you want to play.

Step 4) Now click the following boxes in the main screen.
  • emulate Hw Tnl caps
  • emulate other dc8.1 caps
  • emulate pixel shader caps
  • force high precision pixels
  • there are fields provided for vendor ID and device ID, if you want to use own hardware ID keep the field value zero. But to emulate other graphic cards use one of the vendor ID and device ID provided like
  •
  1. NVIDIA Geforce Ti 4600 :- VendorID: 4318 and DeviceID: 592
  2. NVIDIA GeforceFX 5900 ultra :- VendorID: 4318 and DeviceID: 816
  3. Ati Radeon 8500 :- VendorID: 4098 and DeviceID: 20812
  4. Ati Radeon 9800 pro :-  VendorID: 4098 and DeviceID: 20040
this are the setting which will work for mostly all games but if you want to add anything more, feel free to do so.

Step 5) Now click on the "save batch file" button at the end of the main window this will create a batch file. clicking on it will start the game giving you all the feature you have selected.
    ENJOY!

Note:- The 3d analyzer wont actually increase your hardware performance. It just imitates a graphic card to trick the game. It may increase some of the performance of the game play but don't expect it to serve you as a real graphic card.

I am not into gaming that much. But i checked the system requirements for Battlefield 2 and concluded that there is no reason why it should not work on your PC. If it is giving you error about graphics card then 3D analyzer should definitely help. i have also updated some content in the post, have a look it may help.

    thanks for the support
i have i3 dell 4gb ram and intel hd graphics

As i said earlier i am not into gaming that much. Farnkly i have a very average PC and laptop with average specs, so i would not be much help to you. But your PC specs are good and mostly all average 3D games will work on it. But if you are in serious gaming i would suggest to get a good Graphics card. Now-a-days graphics have really become affordable. 1 gb will be enough for serious gaming.

what i have is a laptop...
but i certainly am thankfull to you for having helped. :)

Is it possible to get Amnesia: The Dark Descent to run using this? I am currently using a less than fantastic Intel 4 Mobile Chipset, and Amnesia doesn't even support it. Can I bypass that with this program, and if so, with what settings?

It also depends on your other computer features. if you have a slow processor and low RAM. i don't think 3d analyzer will help. But if all your other features are great and if the game is not allowing you to play or install it just because it doesn't support the graphics, 3d analyzer may help. I saw system requirements of Amnesia. it says you need 2gb RAM. I would say you will need 3gb RAM to play it without graphics card and also a dual core or core2duo.

    Hello there,

I had a question for the last past. When i go to save the batch file, and when i name it something, it does not appear in the appropriate folder...

I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I found the Amnesia.exe file and used the settings as you showed above and tried to save it.

I have a HP Pavillion dv4 Duo Core 2, 4gig of ram and Intel graphics card.

    Thank you in advance.

    sorry for the late reply
According to me it should work, but i can't be sure because there is no way for me to stimulate the conditions of your laptop. So the best thing to do would be to try it.

Are there any known settings for Amnesia. I've been trying everything to get it to work and was wondering if this would help.
