I am a book fanatic and a inspiring writer. My cravings of reading were mostly satisfied by the local library but it was very limited. As a budding writer i was very much interested in the modern literature but i was unable to buy new books without financial support. The area i live in is a bit isolated with very scarce population so we don't have things like book clubs or literature communities etc these made me feel very isolated and far from the literature culture. Whenever i read a good book i wanted to discuss it with somebody or debate it. So i was looking for a good book community where i can read books and give feedback, discuss it etc. Thats when i came across Wattpad.
Wattpad App
While browsing the Intel appup center i came across the wattpad app. In the description it called itself the YouTube of ebooks. This instantly caught my attention. I quickly downloaded and installed it. When i started the app i was very impressed by its user friendly design and simple navigation. In the beginning i thought it was just another ebook reader or something, but as i slowly started understanding all its features it got really interesting. It turned out to be just the thing i was seeking to be a part of the literature community.
It contains more than 1,00,000 free books including thousands of Guternberg titles conveniently divided into many categories like
You can use the search box or just browse through the categories to find something to read.
You can see the number of readers and the comments for the title by clicking on the comment button under the title. But beware sometimes it may contain spoilers. Many of the books and stories are published in parts which makes it even more interesting to read. To post comments you have to first register on the wattpad website. www.wattpad.com
It has a very simple ebook reader with very easy to use navigation. Using the info button you can go to the title on the wattpad website where you can interact with other readers and share your opinions and views. For me this is the best part as it provides the people a very good platform to interact with other people with the same interest. You can save the title which you liked, to read it later. The saved title will appear in the library section of the app when you start the it.
